The lighting design for this lobby renovation synthesizes the varied lighting requirements for the polished marble floor, semi-specular walls, and matte plaster walls and ceiling. Custom ceiling-mounted architectural reflectors indirectly light the molded plaster while edge lighting highlights the arched wall recesses. Discreet downlighting mounted in the reflectors illuminates circulation paths without disrupting the continuity of the architecture. All project fixtures use tunable white technology to mimic daylight’s shifting color temperature. Our work on this project included developing a control system and coordinating a single driver location for the low-voltage fixtures used throughout the project
